In the GMCL20 competitions there have been a number of forfeits this year, including clubs forfeiting a number of matches. As a league we need to understand why this has happened and discuss whether a revised structure for this competition in the future.
.
For the current competitions, in each competition the group winners go through to the knock out phase, together in GMCL20 Premier with the best placed 2nd team in the 7 groups and in GMCL Championship the best placed 2nd team in the 3 groups. In 2nd team GMCL20 there are 4 groups so just the winners of each group go through.
The tables follow this order
1) most points
2) if equal points NRR
3) if equal NRR then points in the games between the clubs.
If we have a situation in any group competition which goes to NRR, then forfeited games will be dealt with as follows if Teams A and B finish on equal points:
1) if Team A has played team F, but Team B's game against Team F is forfeited by F, then Team A's NRR is adjusted to take out its game against Team F, and then the placings made
2) If both of Team A and Team B have played Team F or neither of them has played Team F, then there is no NRR adjustment
3) If any Team finishes 2nd in a group, then its NRR in any game actually played against the Team F in its group is taken account of if there are 2nd placed teams with the same points
