We want to take this opportunity to congratulate Clifton Cricket Club and also say good luck to them:
Firstly, they are in the Cross Cup Final to be played on Saturday 16th September (preferred date). There will be a toss for choice of final venue at the other semi this Sunday between Walshaw and Roe Green (so an all GMCL final assured). In their semi Clifton beat Adlington by seven wickets last weekend. Adlington posted 174 and Clifton knocked them off with four overs to spare. 16 year old Rob Lord took four wickets and Gareth Cross scored 64. Other teenagers performed as well; Will Davidson (41) and Sam Dorsey (35 no).
Secondly, Sam Dorsey has been selected for English Schools - well done Sam!
